Bellamonte is definitely not one of the best-known places in the Val di Fiemme. However, we dare to say, it is one of the most beautiful among the latter, full of atmosphere. This is not least thanks to its position. It is situated on a small plateau not far from Predazzo, on the road leading up to the Passo Rolle, embedded in the magnificent landscape at the foot of the breathtaking Lagorai mountain range and the not less impressive Pale di San Martino.
Here, amid the green forests and sun-soaked blooming meadows, start countless walking and hiking trails, that lead you down to the valley and – those, who are seeking a challenge – up through the alpine pastures to the summits offering an incredible view of the whole Val di Fiemme. Bellamonte is only a few minutes drive from the Paneveggio Nature Park, with its rocky slopes, wild creeks and grasslands. The Ski area Alpe Luisa, part of one of the world‘s largest ski resorts Dolomiti Superski, is also easy to reach.
